The TV anime adaptation of Ryo Shirakome’s “Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest” (ありふれた職業で世界最強) light novel series is getting a second season in January 2022! A new visual, first promotional video and additional cast are revealed.
The first season of “Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest” aired from July 8, 2019, to October 7, 2019, with two OVA’s released in December 2019 and February 2020. asread and WHITE FOX produced the first season of the series, with studio MOTHER taking over WHITE FOX’s role for the second. Akira Iwanaga serves as the new director for the second season.

▍Synopsis
Seventeen year old Hajime Nagumo is your average, everyday otaku. However, his simple life of pulling all-nighters and sleeping in school is suddenly turned upside down when he, along with the rest of his class, is summoned to a fantasy world! They’re treated like heroes and tasked with the duty of saving the human race from utter extinction. But what should have been any otaku’s wet dream quickly turns into Hajime’s nightmare. While the rest of his class are blessed with godlike powers, Hajime’s job, Synergist, only has a single transmutation skill. Ridiculed and bullied by his classmates for being weak, he soon finds himself in despair.
