The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) and Nikkei Business Publications has revealed the stream schedule for the all-digital Tokyo Game Show Online 2021, which will run from September 30 to October 3, 2021.
A 50-minute Xbox livestream to be held on the show’s opening day, September 30, promises “some exclusive news and content to share”. The Square Enix Presents live stream will then follow on October 1, with a 50-minute slot dedicated to “the latest news about our upcoming titles”.
Other high profile studios in attendance include Konami, and Capcom on September 30, with Bandai Namco and Sega on October 1. On the final day of the showcase, October 3, Arc System Works, Ubisoft and WFS will have presentations.
▍VR Version
TGS also reveals a page on the event’s official website mentioning that there will be a VR version when the show launches on September 30. It will be available natively on both Oculus Quest headsets as well as on PC, where it can be played with or without VR.
According to a brief description, the experience will let users meet their favorite characters and visit booths styled after game worlds. Confirmed exhibitors for the VR portion include Konami, SEGA, Square Enix and Bandai Namco. Details can be found HERE.
