The details and story of the anime film are not yet revealed. The 24th and final episode of the anime’s 2nd season aired on September 21.
The anime’s 2nd season premiered its first part in January. The TV anime adaptation of Shiba’s spinoff manga The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime then premiered on April 6. After The Slime Diaries ended, the second part of the second season began on July 6 — for nine straight months of television anime from the franchise this year.
The franchise is also getting a new mobile game That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: ISEKAI Memories, which is set to release in English in 2021.
