At today’s Jump Festa 2022, Konami announced the eighth instalment of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series, Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush!!, following its previous instalment “Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS”. The anime will begin its broadcast on TV Tokyo in April 2022.
The announcement comes with a new visual “Surpassing even the intergalactic frontier, Rush Duel! Let’s go! Go Rush!” and a new trailer. It seems that our protagonist is an actual alien?!
The story takes place in Rokuba Town, the birthplace where the new revolutionary method of dueling, Rush Duel, was invented. One day, two elementary school siblings, Yuuhi (CV: Toshiki Kumagai) and Yuuamu (CV: Fukushima Jun) formed the club called the Alien Troubleshooting Service with the objective to get rid of annoying aliens.
One day, they discover a spaceship, and when they step into it, they find an alien named Yudias Belgyar (CV: Arthur Lounsberry), who is said to be from the faraway Belgyar Cluster. He has come to Earth in search of the “Rush Duel”, which is said to lead his friends to a new future after they were forced to leave their home planet. However, he has no idea what Rush Duel even is. Yuhi decides to give him a hand, and challenges Yudias to a duel.
