Komi Can’t Communicate Anime Season 2 Coming in April 2022

At the final episode of Komi Can’t Communicate aired on December 22, fans were quick to notice a very important detail in the last scene. In it, the protagonist Komi embarrassingly holds up a cue card that reads “Second Season Confirmed!” and the studio just confirmed that yes, it’s not some foreshadowing! It’s really happening! You can watch the video that shows the last scene below. 

The second season is set to be broadcast sometime in April of next year, and the staff have commented they’re working hard on making sure the second season is as good as the first.

Tomohito Oda, the original author of the series, shared a comment mentioning on how exciting that the second season of the anime is now confirmed, and shyly thanks everyone for their support. There are still a lot of events in Komi’s 1st year that have yet to be seen, and they look forward to it. Here’s the full message:

So they are going to go all the way to the end of her school year after all!
School trips, valentine day affairs…and even a delusional episode…

▍Synopsis

On her first day attending the elite Itan Private High School, the main setting of the story, Shouko Komi immediately receives an overwhelming surge in popularity due to the unprecedented, stoic beauty and refined elegance her classmates perceive her to possess. However, only Hitohito Tadano, an exceedingly average schoolboy assigned to the seat next to hers, is able to have the opportunity to discover that, behind her bishōjo appearance, Komi has serious issues in communicating with others. Tadano sets out to help Komi on her quest to find 100 friends.
