GAGEX announced that the award-winning adventure mobile game, The Kids We Were, is heading to Steam on January 13! A special live-action video drawing reference from the game’s nostalgic story is also revealed.
The Steam version promises to contain all of the extra content released for the mobile version, and the developer affirmed that if you want all of the content and the best experience, look no further than the Steam version.
Originally released worldwide for smartphones in February 2020, The Kids We Were has won multiple awards including the Indie Category of Google Play’s Best Games of 2020. A switch version was later released in December 2021.
The adventure game is set in the late Japanese Showa era (the 1980s), and features a nostalgic journey through a unique time in Japan’s recent history. An incredible summer adventure unfolds as young boy Minato travels across time and locations to find his missing father.
The Complete Edition includes the full story available in the app, in addition to a new bonus episode set after the events of the main game. There are also brand-new collection items to find!
