The official website for the Mr. Osomatsu anime franchise debuted a new teaser trailer and teaser visual for the upcoming Osomatsu-san ~Hipipo-Zoku to Kagayaku Kajitsu~ (Mr. Osomatsu: The Hipipo Tribe and the Glistening Fruit) anime film. The teaser trailer also unveiled the film’s story, cast and staff. The movie will be hitting Japan’s theaters on July 8, 2022.
The anime film follows the adventure of the Matsuno sextuplets, who embark on a new journey to seek the legendary fruit that will grant any wish if eaten.
▍Get a Kira Kira Ticket Holder!
The film will have a limited-time screening period, which will run throughout Japan to commemorate the anime’s 6th anniversary. Those who purchase the special movie ticket bundle will get a ticket with a bonus gift: the Kira Kira Ticket Holder (pictured below).
▍Special Event at Anime Fest 2022
A stage event will also be held at AnimeJapan 2022 featuring Takahiro Sakurai as Osomatsu, Jun Fukuyama as Ichimatsu, and Matsubara as the screenplayer. This talk event will take place at the Avex Pictures booth, and will look back on the past six years as well as the contents of the new anime.
A total of 50 people: divided into 20 fan club members and 30 general applicants, will be invited to the event by drawing lots. Applications will be accepted on the official website until March 13th. The event will be broadcast live on the official YouTube channel from March 26.
