The anime adaptation of George Asakura’s Dance Dance Danseur manga is confirmed to premiere on April 8, 2022. The anime’s official trailer and a key visual were also revealed. Koki Uchiyama will join the cast as Ruō Mori and Kaede Honda as Miyako Godai.
Dance Dance Danseur tells the story of dancer Junpei Murao, who was fascinated with ballet since he was a child. But in his second year of middle school, his father passed away. He decided to become more “masculine,” and thus gave up his aspirations. While still having an attachment to ballet, he takes up Jeet Kune Do, and finally becomes popular in his class.
Then one day, a new transfer student, Miyako Godai arrives in Junpei’s class, and her mother runs a ballet studio. Miyako realizes that Junpei is interested in ballet, and invites him to do ballet together.
