The TV anime adaptation of Kyōsuke Kamishiro and Takayaki’s My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex light novel series is confirmed to premiere on July 6. A 15-second commercial also starts streaming to highlight the weird relationship between the protagonist and his ex-girlfriend.
A premiere event featuring the anime’s main cast will be held on June 26 at Shinjuku Baltic 9 in Tokyo. The event guests include voice actors Hiro Shimono (as Mizuto Irito), Rina Hidaka (as Yume Irito), Ikumi Hasegawa (as Akatsuki Minami), Nobuhiko Okamoto (as Kogure Kawanami), and Miyu Tomita (as Isana Higashito). After the screening of episodes 1 and 2, a talk show will be held by the cast members. Part of the talk show will be distributed free of charge at ABEMA. My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex is about the story of Mizuto Irido, who suddenly has to contemplate the fact that he now has to live with Yume Irido after the remarriage of his mother. But in a strange wave of events, Yume is actually his ex-girlfriend!? Will Mizuto be able to assert his dominance as the older brother of the household?!
