Oshi No Ko Idol Manga Gets TV Anime

Weekly Young Jump’s idol-drama manga Oshi No Ko is getting a TV anime! A teaser visual is also revealed for the announcement.

The TV anime is produced by Doga Kobo, who worked on Akame Ga Kill, and Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie! Daisuke Hiramaki and Chao Nekotomi are directors of the series, with Jin Tanaka on series composition, and Kanna Hirayama on character design.

Oshi no Ko

The story follows Goro, a young doctor who is a huge fan of his favorite idol Ai Hoshino. After suddenly being told to handle the birth of his favorite idol’s children, he is murdered by a crazed fan, and is then reborn as one of the children. The story follows him, and his sister who was a previous patient of his, as they learn the truth about their birth, and follow in the footsteps of their beloved mother, and Oshi (Favorite Girl).

Oshi No Ko is a manga written by Aka Akasaka, known also for being the author and artist of Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War, Oshi No Ko is illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, and the series has been in publication since 2020, and was recently made available on Jump +! Volume 8 of the manga was released on June 17, 2022 in Japan, and the manga has sold over 3 million copies! Oshi No Ko also won first place at the Next Manga Awards in the print category in 2021.
