Capcom announced a new batch of support for the Resident Evil series, with a new gold edition for Resident Evil Village, and next-gen ports for Resident Evil 2,3, and 7!
The gold edition of Resident Evil Village will come with the Winter’s expansion, which includes the Shadows of Rose DLC campaign featuring a grown-up version of Rose set after the events of the original game, an update to the game’s Mercenaries mode with playable Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg, and Alcina Dimitrescu, and an update that allows you to play the campaign entirely in the third person! The DLC will be available on October 28.
Updated versions of Resident Evil 2,3, and 7 were also announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and are available now! Digital upgrades will be free to players that own the games on previous generation consoles.

■ Shadows of Rose DLC
Set directly after the events of RE8, Rose, Ethan’s daughter now struggles with her powers and enters the world of the Megamycete, haunted by visions of nightmares and a mysterious realm where her powers and memories of her past return as vicious creatures.
■ The Mercenaries – Additional Orders
Take down the monsters of the village with brand-new characters, weapons, and powers! Chris Redfield enters the Mercenaries game mode with his signature assault rifle and combat training, alongside the super-powered children of Mother Miranda, Karl Heisenberg, and the Nine-foot Tall Alcina Dimitrescu! Toss and crush the enemies in a race against time to score the maximum points and earn new rewards!
■ Third Person Mode
You’ve asked, Capcom has delivered with third-person mode! You will be able to enjoy the game entirely in the third person! Get a look at redone animations with Ethan Winters, and experience being attacked from a brand new angle.
