The Kodakawa Anime channel started streaming a new trailer for the TV anime adaptation of the High Card poker-themed multimedia project, which is set to debut in January 2023. The video reveals and previews the opening theme song “Trickster” by the Five New Old band, and reveals the voices of two additional characters.
High Card centers on a secret group of players known as High Card, who directly received orders by the king of Fourland to collect cards that were scattered around the kingdom while disguising their identity as the employees of the luxury carmaker Pinochle. Scouted to become the group’s fifth member, Finn soon joins the players on a dangerous mission to find these cards.
The multimedia project is co-created by TMS Entertainment, Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler manga writer Homura Kawamoto and novel author Hikaru Muno
