During Sega’s most recent update Livestream for its MMORPG PSO2 New Genesis, it announced an upcoming collaboration with the VTuber Agency, Hololive!
The collaboration brings in three new outfits from Hololive JP and EN members, Shirakami Fubuki and Ninmae Ina’nis, and Holostars member Kageyama Shien! These three were chosen because they have been known to play PSO2 quite frequently on, and off-stream.
NGS Headline also announced a series of new updates coming to the game, from the new monster summoning class Waker, new quests, story content, system updates, and new and returning AC Scratch outfits. The PS4 Version of PSO2 New Genesis also has a release date of August 31 after the game’s maintenance!
▍PSO2 New Genesis and Virtual Streamers!
Check out the screenshots featuring the Hololive VTubers’ new outfits in PSO2 NGS! The outfits are available starting on August 24. The game is also adding outfits featuring the new official VTuber for PSO2 NGS, Popona, and the NGS Streamer Sabakuro too!
▍PSO2 New Genesis New Class The Waker
The Waker class is finally coming to PSO2 NGS! Fans of PSO2 may be familiar with the original Summoner Class in PSO2, and the Waker class is based on that! Use three different summons to dominate the battlefield in both long and close range, and even counterattack!
You can unlock the class by going to the instructor Welmina, and the Waker’s Caparison outfits are available from the SG Scratch Tickets along with their signature pose!
▍PSO2 New Genesis Game Content Update
Being added to the August 3 update are new side stories and character mini-episodes! Try these out to learn more about the various NPCs of the world, and dive into the game’s new Cannonball Rumble quest where you must send cannonballs at enemies in order to defeat them within a time limit! A new Urgent Quest, Mining Rig Defense Kvaris is also coming to the game, alongside the new powerful gigantic boss Vardias!
ARK Records are also being added to the game, allowing you to compete with other players in certain quests to receive badges! You can trade in these badges for unique weapon camos, N-EX Cubes, and more!
▍PSO2 New Genesis Game System Updates
Tons of new gameplay QOL changes and requests are being added to PSO2 New Genesis! Tweaks to quests, enemy balance changes, ranked challenges, add-on skills, and updates to the ARK ID will be added after the August 3 update!
They have even streamlined the process for customizing your character and room transfer, making it easier for you to swap between areas, and you can also adjust more volume settings to tweak the game’s audio, and graphic settings to suit your experience.
And last but not least, the PS4 version of PSO2 NGS is finally going live on August 31! You can link your accounts from any of your other platforms to the PS4, allowing for a seamless transition and being able to play the game across any region, and get exclusive gifts for login into the PS4!
