TBS revealed that it is currently working on a new live-action of Takeshi Natsuhara and Kuromaru’s manga, Kurosagi The Black Swindler. The show features Shō Hirano of the male idol group King & Prince, as the protagonist Kōshirō Kurosaki.
Seeking revenge on those that swindled his family from everything, Kōshirō Kurosaki becomes Kurosagi, a black swinder, someone that only takes money from other swindlers. The story is being reimagined to fit the time period of 2022, as the manga was originally written in 2003.
The series is being directed by Kenta Tanaka, Yasuhara Ishii, and Shuichi Hirano, with Eriko Shinozaki on the script.
Kurosagi The Black Swindler debuts in October.
▍Kurosagi The Black Swindler Story
Six years ago, Kurosaki’s family was destroyed by a shirosagi / white swindler, a person who focuses on defrauding people of their life savings. When Kurosaki’s father was stripped of his family’s life savings, his father killed his mother and sister before committing suicide himself.
From that day on Kurosaki trained and devoted himself to being a black swindler, a person that would steal money only from thieves and the guilty, helping other innocent people get their money back,.
