The anime of Muv-Luv Alternative released a brand new PV for the show’s upcoming season, along with a key visual featuring Takeru and Sumika, trying to reach out to each other with a pained expression.
Muv-Luv Alternative is based on the visual novel of the same name, about a young man Takeru Shirogane, going back in time to the events of Muv-Luv unlimited, to try to execute humanity’s final plan to save the world from a hopeless alien invasion.

Muv-Luv Alternative’s anime is based on the classic visual novel of the same name. Taking place after the events of Muv-Luv, Alternative tells the story of an epic, nearly unwinnable alien invasion war. Unwilling to accept the results of the war in Muv-luv Unlimited, Takeru is sent back to the events of Unlimited, to complete the Alternative IV plan to save the world, and save his loved ones.
