During a special episode of Night City Wire, CD Projekt Red revealed a brand new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077‘s upcoming Phantom Liberty expansion, which will be arriving in 2023. An Edgerunners update has also been announced alongside the debuts of Netflix’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime.
The Edgerunners update will come on September 6 and introduces equipable items from the anime to the game, such as the jacket worn by David Martinez, the anime’s protagonist, and the shotgun used by another character from the show.

The update also brings a whole lot of new features, including a clothing “transmog” system, cross-platform progression, playable Roach Race minigame arcade cabinets, and much more. The update is set to be officially released on September 6, a full week before the anime airs on Netflix.
▍Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty
A new cast of characters with who V will come into contact will be introduced in the Phantom Liberty expansion, which takes place inside a new location within Night City.
The expansion is scheduled to release in 2023 for PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia Stadia. A video message from Keanu Reeves was also shown at the broadcast, confirming that he will be reprising his role as rebel rockerboy Johnny Silverhand for Phantom Liberty.
