Acquire announced a new version of the 2013’s Akiba’s Trip 2 / Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed dubbed the Director’s Cut!
Akiba’s Trip 2 Director’s Cut is an updated version of the aforementioned title with new content and higher-resolution visuals for the game. Players that own the PS4 and PC versions of the original game can upgrade to this newer version of the title via paid DLC.
The new version of the game includes a new route featuring none other than Kati Raikkonen, and a new “true” ending! The director’s cut also comes with all previously released DLC, making this the new definitive version of the title.
While only the Japanese version of the game was announced to have a director’s cut, since the global version was also pretty well received, hopefully, Acquire will also announce a director’s cut for Undead and Undressed in the coming months!
The game will launch for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on April 20, 2023 in Japan

Akiba’s Trip 2 or Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed as it’s known in the west, is a sequel to the original Akiba’s Trip released on PSP.
Akiba’s Trip takes place appropriately in Akihabara, the otaku mecca of Japan, but with a twist! In this district there are beings called Synthisters, vampires that prey on those that visit Akihabara, draining their social energy and will to live. The only way you can stop these creatures is by exposing them to sunlight, but just like everyone else, they wear clothes.
So how do you stop them? By ripping off their clothes of course! Battle enemies in real-time action gameplay to strip these monsters of their clothing in broad daylight, and talk to your friends and NPCs in a visual-novel style dialogue chain to progress the story, become more intimate with them, and unlock several endings!
