The staff behind the Fate/strange Fake – Whispers of Dawn- anime special announced the special is being pushed back from its anticipated release date of December 31, to an unknown date.
The delay was attributed to production issues and means it won’t be making it to the annual Fate Project New Year’s TV Special program. The staff apologized to those who were anticipating its release on the special broadcast date and mentioned a future date for the TV special will be released on its official website and Twitter soon. They did mention they will be discussing some of the anime’s main story at the New Year’s Eve TV special while it is being worked on.
▍About Fate/Strange Fake
Originally written by Ryohgo Narita in 2015 as an April Fool’s Joke, Fate/Strange Fake is a light novel series that tells the story of a Holy Grail War waged between mages and Heroes at Snowfield, a city located in the western united states.
The series has since also been adapted into a manga series with illustrations by Morii Shizuki, the same artist as the Light novels and both were serialized on the same day. The series features heroic spirits like Gilgamesh, Enkidu, Pale Rider, Alexandre Dumas, an unnamed assassin, a Berserker Jack the Ripper, and the Saber Richard, also known as Lionheart.
