It has been announced that Naruto is holding a worldwide character popularity poll project “NARUTOP99,” for the characters under the hands of the marvelous Masashi Kishimoto.
This is a project to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the anime series and will be the first popularity poll of characters in the series in about 11 years since the seventh popularity poll was held in 2011.
Fans from all over the world can participate in the voting, and the top 99 characters will be chosen from among them. Kishimoto will also draw new illustrations for the top 20 characters, as well as a short manga about the top-ranked character.
Kishimoto said, “We have held several popularity polls in the Jump magazine, but this is the first time we have held a worldwide popularity poll, so I am looking forward to seeing which characters will make it to the top!”.
Voting will be open from December 17 until January 31, 2023, with one vote per day. The results with the most popular characters will be announced in April 2023 on the official website. You can vote from here.
In addition, to celebrate the worldwide popularity poll, the 700 episodes of Naruto and episodes 1 to 39 of Boruto will be available for free on Shonen Jump+ and Zebrack for a limited time.
Akiba Square in Akihabara UDX, Tokyo, is also holding an exhibition event “Naruto The Gallery” to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the broadcast of the anime. The exhibition will run until January 31, 2023.

▍Naruto The Live – Concert
The musicians of the anime will gather for a live music event.
Naruto The Live, a live music event commemorating the 20th anniversary of the broadcast of the anime, Masashi Kishimoto’s manga, will take place on September 2 and 3, 2023, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
The concert will feature artists who have sung theme songs for the anime. Kana-Boon, Chico with HoneyWorks, and Flow are the first artists to perform. These three groups will perform on both days. In addition, Naruto Uzumaki, played by Junko Takeuchi, and Sasuke Uchiha, played by Noriaki Sugiyama, will participate as MCs for the event.

The Boruto -Naruto Next Generations- anime Sasuke Retsuden Arc will be broadcast from January 2023. A key visual for the arc has also been unveiled.
