DMM’s popular web game and mobile game Touken Ranbu (刀剣乱舞) hinted a new sword coming soon on Twitter few days ago. The identity of the sword is revealed today.
Most Saniwa guessed it right. The new member is another from the Toshiro family, Mori Toshiro (毛利藤四郎). As a short sword, his tiny body is his best advantage in a battle and he likes children who are small like him. His voice actor is Motoki Takagi.
Mori Toshiro is from the the Mori clan, which is the descendant of the Hiromoto family that dates back to Kamakura period (1185–1333). Originally owned by Mori Terumoto, he has a 26.5 cm long blade and was made by Toshiro Yoshimitsu like the other Toshiro swords. It was also once kept by Tokugawa Ieyasu and Ikeda Terumasa. Currently, the sword is being displayed at Tokyo National Museum.
