Netflix Announces Pokémon Concierge Stop-Motion Series

The titular streaming service Netflix announced its first collaboration with The Pokémon Company in the form of a completely new stop-motion project titled Pokémon Concierge at Pokemon Day on February 27.

The upcoming series follows the story of the concierge Haru and the Pokémon who visit the Pokémon Resort. To depict this new story through a never seen before in the franchise visual expression, the series will be produced by Dwarf Studios, known worldwide for their stop-motion animations.

Kim Minyoung, Vice President of Content for Netflix Asia, expressed her expectations for the project: “We are excited to partner with The Pokémon Company to deliver an innovative, stop-motion animated visual and story experience with Pokemon Concierge. We hope fans in Japan and around the world will enjoy this series. We are especially delighted to be able to announce this series on Pokemon Day, a special day that celebrates the beginning of the franchise.”

Alongside the announcement, a teaser trailer and a key visual were revealed, featuring the series protagonist Haru and Psyduck at the Pokémon Resort, gazing up at the sky. Pokémon Concierge currently has no set premiere date and is listed as “coming soon.” The viewers are left to wonder what kind of adventures will unfold in the series.
