The man with the urge to “kill Chaos” and his ragtag group of warriors will finally shed their Epic Games Store exclusivity for PC next month! Publisher Square Enix and developer Team Ninja announced that the action RPG Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will be hitting Steam storefronts on April 6, simultaneously releasing a trailer to celebrate the occasion.
The Steam launch will coincide with a price drop across all platforms. The new price, however, has not been announced as of this writing.
Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin is also available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Epic Games Store.
In case you didn’t follow Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origins, it is an action RPG that follows the story of Jack and his allies, Ash and Jed, in their quest to kill Chaos. While looking like he stepped out of the local Gap outlet in the initial trailer, Jack and his buddies must hazard numerous challenges to bring the light of the crystals back to the kingdom of Cornelia, a land conquered by darkness.
Stranger of Paradise offers a wide array of difficulty options alongside numerous selections of jobs and weapons to customize your party members’ loadout, allowing players to choose exactly how they want to play.
Camp and ridiculous as some moments can be, Stranger of Paradise’s story culminates in telling an alternate universe prequel story to the original Final Fantasy back on the NES.
