The Dead Mount Death Play had a special stage held at AnimeJapan 2023, and during the show, the anime released the second trailer for the anime, along with a new visual for the anime, its cast members, and even its opening theme song!
The opening for the anime will be “Nero” by Sou. The new trailer and visual give us a brief preview of the several new characters and cast members of this anime, which includes Atsumi Tanezaki as Lisa Kuraki, Rumi Okubo as Ajishiro Izuna, Ikmui Hasegawa as Ichinose Furuto, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Shinomiya Rozan, Daichiha as Shinomiya Saya, Misato Fukuen as Azuma Koyu, Inori Minase as Sakimiya Misaki, Nobuhiko Okamata as Gōzaburō Arase, and Haruka Shiraishi as Saki Aikawa.
Character designs for the Phantom Solitaire and Lemmings were also revealed, but their cast members remain anonymous.

Dead Mount Death Play is a manga series by Ryohgo Narita and Shinta Fujimoto about a young man named Polka Shinomiya, a reincarnation of the Corpse God, a powerful necromancer who was defeated in another world by a knight known as the Calamity Crusher.
All Polka wants is to live a peaceful life, but his life circumstances prevent this from happening, with the corrupt district of Shinjuku, his family having murdered him, and gang members all around.
