Both the English and Japanese servers of Cardfight Vanguard Zero announced through its Twitter accounts and other social media, that the game will be shutting down on June 30, 12:00 [JST]. The game launched on April 9 globally and will have been live for 3 years and 2 months.
In a post on the game’s official English Twitter account, the game announced the shutdown will be happening in a few months and said it is regrettable as there were plans to implement more card abilities for certain clans, but the shutdown makes the impossible. The developers also expressed that while Vanguard Zero shutting down, the remaining Vanguard products will continue to be active.
No plans to issue refunds were posted on the game’s social media, but a roadmap was also posted outlining the content coming to the game as it nears shutdown, including plenty of login and campaign bonuses, 30% off the game’s gacha, player appreciation bonuses, and reissuing of various items from the past.
