DMM Game’s Touken Ranbu Online has recently received a major version update, bringing in a new UI design and modifications to the Honmaru.
The game also updated several new features, new missions as well as a new sword, Ishida Masamune (CV: Horie Shun), which will be available at the Limited-Time Forging event from April 24 to May 2!

▍ About Ishida Masamune
A katana forged by Masamune, a swordsmith from Sagami. It is unclear when the deep scratches on the blade were made, but their location on the ridge and back, which are facing the wielder, has sparked speculation that they were made when Ishida Mitsunari’s guardian spirit Izuna raged against being compelled into inhabiting the sword.
According to the Kyoho Meibutsu-cho (a book of quality products in the Kyoho era), this sword was given to Ukita Hideie by Wakasa Governor Mori and then to Ishida Mitsunari by Hideie.
In 1600, Tokugawa Ieyasu assigned his son Yuki Hideyasu to serve as the guard on the journey from Osaka to Sawayama. Mitsunari gave a Masamune sword to Hideyasu in gratitude, and that sword too had scratches on its blade. For the rest of his life, that katana was Hideyashu’s favorite.

▍ Touken Ranbu Online Honmaru System Overhaul!
Touken Ranbu Online has received a major UI overhaul, sporting a brand-new design, and several systems have been optimized for a greater playing experience.
First, now the Honmaru offers direct access to vital locations such as Sortie, Survey, Bout, and Formation! Furthermore, smartphone players can easily access the Otomo Photo feature and take a picture with their Touken Danshi directly from the title screen!
In the Duties mode, abilities that increase with duties will be changed, and a new special dialogue has been added. In the Strengthening mode, you can now select 30 Touken at once, as opposed to the previous 10! And lastly, the Organization screen allows you to easily view your Touken Danshi!
Lastly, several new missions with various rewards were added, as well as new Daily, Duty, and Monthly Missions! If you’re an old-time player, you might find that you cleared a lot of these new missions already.
You can now give your own Honmaru a name! The below screen will appear when you log in, where you can input the name of the Honmaru. Please note that you will only be able to change this once, and names cannot reveal any personal info or be offensive to others.
▍ Touken Ranbu Online Ubu Forms EXP x2 Campaign
Starting now until May 22, the Ubu form of a Touken Danshi can gain double the EXP points on the Battlefield. A Ubu form refers to a Touken Danshin below LV 98. So if you obtained a new Touken Danshi, now you can easily upgrade them!
