At the NetEase Connect 2023 online presentation, NetEase Games unveiled that its wuxia MMORPG Justice Mobile will be released in China on June 30 for iOS and Android devices. The Chinese developer also confirmed a worldwide release for the game, but details are yet to be revealed.
Based on the company’s Chinese-style martial arts MMORPG Justice Online, the mobile edition pledges to incorporate the majority of the PC version’s content. Justice Mobile situates players in an enthralling world brimming with martial arts, magic, and ancient Chinese mythology. Players will quest to unravel the truth behind a large conspiracy while fighting through waves of adversaries.
The game boasts high levels of character customization, a brand-new weather system, and support for ray tracing, and intriguingly, it highlights the unique narrative development enabled by the incorporation of OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The newly revealed English trailer also showcased the game’s impressive graphical fidelity, asserting that the visuals presented were actual gameplay and not promotional CGI.
Aspired to be the first to implement an open-world martial arts realm in an AI-enhanced MMO platform, Justice features beautiful landscapes brought to life through impressive 3D models. NetEase also incorporates ChatGPT into Justice Online Mobile for generating dialogue and creating unique NPC reactions. By employing AI technology, this feature will enable players to interact with NPCs and stimulate unique reactions based on generated dialogues.
The AI-facilitated dialogues will not only impact the behavior of NPCs but could also influence relationships between them, potentially causing a rift between an NPC couple, altering their views of certain aspects, and garnering assistance from kindly virtual characters.
Trained on history books, poems, songs, and martial arts novels, the model built into Justice Mobile ensures NPCs act in harmony with the game’s Song Dynasty setting. NetEase’s plans for AI technologies will also extend beyond dialogues, encompassing quest generation, content creation, and character customization.
