At today’s Ubisoft Forward showcase, the developer has revealed a new story trailer and an eight-minute gameplay walkthrough for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, showcasing how it paid homage to the original Assassin’s Creed game in 2017.
Celebrating the 15 anniversary of one of Ubisoft’s flagship franchises, Assassin’s Creed Mirage gets back to its basics while taking reference from the first game in its setting, characters, design, and environments. And of course, it has a brand-new story but if you are a series fan, it should not be hard to find similarities.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage plunges players into the arduous journey of Basim, a sly street thief tormented by enigmatic visions. Cravings for answers and justice, Basim is driven out of Baghdad after executing a lethal act of retribution. It leads him to join an age-old organization: The Hidden Ones.
As Basim unfolds their clandestine rites and formidable tenets, he sharpens his singular abilities, unearths his true nature, and gains a profound understanding of a new Creed, one that irrevocably alters his destiny in unimaginable ways.
