Ubisoft, in partnership with Level Infinite, announced a thrilling leap into ancient China with their upcoming mobile game, Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade. The announcement brings exciting news for Assassin’s Creed fans, as sign-ups for its closed beta test, to be held this summer, are now available via the game’s official website.
Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade transports players to third-century BC China, a time of burgeoning trade and cultural exchange between East and West, and an epoch witnessing the rise of one of the first unified empires. As Xia, players will travel from the grandeur of the Great Wall to the imperial capital of Xianyang, defending against the Xiongnu and unraveling shadowy conspiracies in a world rich in ancient history and lurking dangers.
In true Assassin’s Creed fashion, the game promises an immersive experience, offering high-quality AC gameplay optimized for both touch and game controller inputs. As you parkour through cities, climb rooftops, and strategically assassinate targets, you’ll dive into an expansive open world exploring two millennia of Eastern history.
The mobile game also includes a unique character customization feature. Players will have the opportunity to upgrade their appearance and skills as they master the “Way of the Xia.” Unearth the secrets of the terracotta warriors, defend the Great Wall, and experience the breathtaking scenery of Xianyang, while interacting with eastern merchants.
Assassin’s Creed Jade is still in development and set for release on iOS and Android on an unspecific date.
