Shonen Magazine Edge Ends Publication after 8 Years on October 17

The official website for Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Edge announced on August 17, that the publication will officially be suspending its publications on October 17, 2023.

The editorial department thanked its readers for keeping up with Edge for all this time, and mentioned that the serialized works in the magazine will still continue in a media that’s suitable for its projects, including its web publication “Magazine Pocket”

The publication will be announcing where all of its IPs and comics will be transferred to in its November issue, which will be the publication’s final issue.

About Shonen Magazine Edge

Shonen Magazine Edge is a manga publication that launched on September 17, 2015 and had a release schedule of a new magazine issue on the 17th of each month. The name Edge was derived from the publication’s mission to “publish the outermost, and sharpest works from the Magazine Industry”

The magazine is home to several manga series, as was also the new home for Shaman King’s sequels, including Shaman King: The Superstar. The magazine also had other series as part of its lineup, including Ao Chan Can’t Study, Alice in Murderland, Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle -Before the Battle- The Dirty Dawg, Otaku Elf, and more.
