Capcom has confirmed the release date for Mega Man X DiVE Offline, which is scheduled to release on smartphones and PC via Steam on September 1, 2023 at a price of US$29.99.
The title is an offline version of the smartphone game Mega Man X DiVE, which intends to close its Japanese server next month. Reimagining the world of the Mega Man X series, the game combines the traditional side-scrolling action of the Mega Man series with various missions and training elements. The offline version is boasted over 100 playable characters and over 900 stages with original stories.
The plot finds its roots in the realm of the Cyberworld region of Deep Log, where data from various games is stored. When an unknown bug corrupts the Mega Man X game data, players are called to action. With the guidance of RiCO, a spontaneously emerged Navigator, players “DiVE” into the world of Deep Log to debug the situation. Players will control Hunter Programs based on X, Zero, and other Hunters to vanquish Maverick data and restore the game.

Players can expect all the Mega Man X series’ signature actions including jump, dash, fire your buster, and swing your saber. The game also features 360-degree aiming and an auto-lock function! With over 100 characters from the Mega Man series, the roster is highlighted with a mix of brand-new original characters and new designs for fan favorites.
Upgrade the character’s weapons and armor, improving skills, defense, HP, and more. A once-per-stage super attack, DiVE Trigger, can be leveled up using exclusive materials.
The game also offers a Story Mode for narrative progression, a Challenge Mode for tackling difficult stages and time attacks, and an Event Mode that features stages from Mega Man Battle Network, Mega Man Legends, and other games. The Event Mode rewards players with character-data fragments and other level-up items, providing substantial character development opportunities.
