Enhanced graphics and a photo mode with various functions contribute to the visual appeal of the game. The customization-centric gameplay encourages players to enter competitions, earn prize money, and unlock blueprints for new modules and machines. If players face difficulties defeating rivals, customization becomes key. By creating custom combinations and strategies, victory is within reach.

Several playstyles are offered, including Race, Battle, and Battle Racing. Race mode focuses on pure racing without weapons, requiring players to consider their robot’s design. Battle Mode moves the competition to an open field where knockouts affect the score, and Battle Racing combines these elements, ranking players based on race performance and combat results. Different stages in these competitions come with unique challenges in terrain, gravity, and climate, calling for adaptable robot designs.

The customization options extend further, deepening the so-called rabbit hole of the previous games. Players can create robots by attaching various modules, making parts like wings that move in specific ways, customizing the robot’s movements, adding optional parts, choosing colors, and even selecting ammunition for weapons.

Break Arts III also introduces new modes like Diorama Mode, where the focus is purely on aesthetics, Score Attack Mode, where customization and piloting techniques must be mastered, and Co-op Mode, offering a completely different gameplay.
