Classic manga series Saint Seiya (聖闘士星矢) will get a new temporary serialisation, Saint Seiya Episode Zero (聖闘士星矢 EPISODE ZERO). It is the second official side story created by the original mangaka Masami Kurumada (車田 正美).
Started in the February 2018 issue of Champion Red magazine, the plot follows how Sagittarius Aiolos protects the new-born Athena. The magazine will be sold on 19th December 2017.
Kurumada first published Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac on Weekly Shonen Jump in 1986. The main series ran for 14 years. The first TV anime series began in the same year the manga began. Multiple spin-off anime including a new TV anime series and six movies have been made ever since. Kurumada is also having another Saint Seiya’s spin-off manga, Saint Seiya: Next Dimension – The Myth of Hades, run in Weekly Shonen Champion.
