[Qoo News] Cry more! TV anime Made in Abyss' second season confirmed

TV anime Made in Abyss (メイドインアビス) has decided to make everyone cry more with a second season. The news was announced in an official event that features the major cast and staff members yesterday. The release date and exact plot are yet to be confirmed.

An announcement PV has been released. According to video, it seems like the next season will focus on Bondrewd’s ill plan.

▍Story

The anime is based on Akihito Tsukushi’s (つくしあきひと) web manga of the same title. It has been serialised on Web Comic Gamma since 2012.

Set on an lonely island that has a mysterious, dangerous giant hole called “Abyss” going deep into the earth, orphan girl Riko always dreams of exploring “Abyss” just like her mother Lyza, who has gone missing for 10 years after going down the hole. After she accidentally finds a humanoid robot boy Reg, and receives a letter from Lyza, she embarks on a journey to uncover Abyss’ mysteries together with her new friend.
