TV anime series Kakegurui (賭ケグルイ) has announced that a second season is being planned. More details are yet to be confirmed.
The news was revealed in the program’s special seiyuu event held on 6th January 2018, “Hyakkao Academy Cultural Festival”. A key visual to celebrate the announcement is available.
Besides, the live drama adaption has unveiled a preview video that shows Yumeko Jabami, portrayed by Minami Hamabe, and her iconic facial expressions. The show will premiere on 14th January 2018.
Kakegurui, written by Homura Kawamoto (河本ほむら) and illustrated by Toru Naomura, is set in Hyakkaou Private Academy, a prestigious school where students are obsessed with gambling. A student, Yumeko Jabami, haunts the school with her pretty face, exceptional gambling skills and extreme obsession with gambling. The manga is still in progress in Gangan Joker magazine. A mobile gambling simulation game is expected to be out this year.
