The Osomatsu-san (おそ松さん) sextuplets are coming back soon! In the anime’s special event on 19th August, an original anime film titled Osomatsu-san The Movie (えいがのおそ松さん) was announced for release in Spring 2019.
In this new work the brothers will appear as schoolmates at high school. Nothing concrete about the story is known at the moment.
Gintama’s long-time director Fujita Yoichi is in charge of the directing at Studio Pierrot and Shu Matsubara remains to be the screenwriter. Of course, the original voice actors will return for their respective roles as well.

Osomatsu-san is based on Fujio Akatsuka’s (赤塚不二夫) comedy manga series Osomatsu-kun (おそ松くん) which was first published in 1962. The story revolves around all sorts of mischief caused by the sextuplet Matsuno brothers.
