Today (12th April), the live-action adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki’s (和月 伸宏) signature Rurouni Kenshin series, revealed that the final arc of the series will be coming in 2020 in the form of two movies.
The first movie of 2020 will cover the Juji Kuzu no Nazo story, and the second movie will focus on the Enishi story. Keishin Otomo (大友 啓史), the director of the previous live-action movies will be directing the upcoming movies. Takeru Satoh (佐藤 健) will be reprising his role as the series’ protagonist, Kenshin Himura.
About the Series
Rurouni Kenshin is written and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki (和月 伸宏). The series made its comeback in September 2017 after 18 years of absence. The new serialization on Jump Square is Hokkaido Arc, set five years after Jinchu Arc (final arc), and revolves around Himura Kenshin looking for Myojin Yahiko in Hokkaido.
