Premiering in this July, TV anime adaptation of rugby manga series Try Knights (トライナイツ) reveals more cast members today at 16th May.
Newly added cast include Maeda Seiji (前田誠二) as Tomomi Horyu (宝立友未), Shūta Morishima (森嶋秀太) as Shotani Pearce Valentine (翔谷・ピアース・ヴァレンタイン) and Yoshiki Nakajima (中島ヨシキ) as Seiichiro Nada (灘誠一郎).
They will join previously announced cast Shogo Sakamoto (阪本奨悟) and Kenn, who voices over Riku Haruma (遥馬理久) and Akira Kariya (狩矢光) respectively. The anime will be produced by Anime Studio Gonzo.
▍About Try Knights
Written by Shunsaku Yano (矢野俊策) and illustrated by Senzoku Erisawa (衿沢 千束), with original character designs by Rihito Takarai (宝井理人), Try Knights centers on high school students Akira Kariya and Riku Haruma.
One day, the new rugby club member Akira gets advice on running from Riku, who used to be an active rugby player but gave it up because he lacked the physique for the sport. Akira takes an interest in Riku, and Riku’s passion for rugby gradually returns. By joining forces, the pair can play a new tactical game and aim for the top of high school rugby.
The manga has been serialized in Media Factory’s shojo manga magazine Monthly Comic Gene since 15th June, 2018 and has been collected in two tankobon volumes.
