New playable characters not only includes some familiar faces from class 1-A, such as Mina Ashido (芦戸三奈) and Minoru Mineta (峰田実), but also “The Big 3” from U.A, including Mirio Togata (通形ミリオ), Tamaki Amajiki (天喰 環), and Nejire Hado (波動ねじれ).
Although “The Big 3″’s quirks are yet shown until the upcoming Season 4 anime, which will premiere on 12th October, a sneak peak is provided in the trailer.
The trailer also introduces some of the anime’s antagonists, including the League of Villains. New villain Kai Chisaki (治崎廻), leader of Shie Hassaikai, was also confirmed to be a new playable character.
Although the gameplay is not fully revealed, players can expect to engage in 1-vs-1 fights with their favorite My Hero Academia characters. According to the trailer, new stages showcasing the signature scene from the anime are also available.
Apparently, it mainly covers the Provisional Hero License Exam Arc, while the epic battle scene of Midoriya and Bakugo is highlighted. The conflict between Todoroki and Inasa Yoarashi (夜嵐イナサ) from Shiketsu High during the exam is also shown.
Following their growing path, the characters’ quirks are largely enhanced. For example, Midoriya is fighting with its new shooting style, while Todoroki is able to unleash both his ice and fire quirk at the same time.
My Hero Academia: One’s Justice 2 is a sequel to its 2018 action fighting console game and will be released on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in 2020.
