The Detective Conan’ official website reveals the latest trailer and teaser of the franchise’s 24th film, Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet (名探偵コナン 緋色の弾丸). It is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theater on 17th April 2020.
Tomoka Nagaoka (永岡智佳) and Takeharu Sakurai (櫻井武晴) are returning as director and scriptwriter respectively.
▍Story
In the story, the world’s largest sporting event “World Sports Games (WSG)” takes place in Tokyo. However, a number of well-known sponsors have been kidnapped. In the meantime, the “Japanese Bullet” train that runs between Nagoya to Tokyo at a maximum speed of 1000km per hour seems to be involved in this series of incidents……
▍Characters
The film will center around the Akai’s family, including the FBI agent Shuichi Akai (赤井秀一), his younger brother Shukichi Haneda (羽田秀吉), his younger sister Masumi Sera (世良真純) and their mysterious mother Mary (メアリー) who used to work for the MI6.

Detective Conan is originally a manga series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama (青山剛昌), which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday since 1994. It has grown into a world-famous franchise and got spin-offs like TV anime, live-action drama, and video game.
