Aniplex today (16th March) announces the development of a smartphone and a console game based on the hit TV anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” (鬼滅の刃).
▍ Smartphone Game “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Keppū Kengeki Royale”
An “asymmetrical survival action” smartphone game “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Keppū Kengeki Royale” (鬼滅の刃 血風剣戟ロワイアル/ (transl.) Demon Slayer: Blood-Stench Blade Royale), developed by Quatro A, is set to launch for iOS and Android devices in 2020.
It is a multiplayer game that allows players to form teams as the Demon Slayer Corps or the Demons to battle against each other. The universe of the original manga will be reproduced in the game. Signature characters and their weapons will also be available.
▍ Console Game “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppūtan”
A PlayStation 4 action game titled “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppūtan” (鬼滅の刃 ヒノカミ血風譚) is also set to launch in 2021.
In “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppūtan”, players will take the role of the protagonist Tanjiro Kamado (竈門炭治郎) and goes on a quest to restore the humanity of his sister, as well as taking revenge to the demon who slaughters his family.
