The TV anime adaptation of Cygames’ smartphone card game “Shadowverse” (シャドウバース) reveals the 2nd PV and is scheduled to premiere in 7th April 2020. The game also announced Cygames 1st Nintendo Switch title “Shadowverse Champions Battle” (シャドウバース チャンピオンズバトル).
The 2nd PV also previews PENGUIN RESEARCH’s opening theme song “Kirifuda” (キリフダ). The untitled ending theme song is performed by voice actress Yui Ogura (小倉唯).

▍Story
The story centers on Hiiro Ryūgasaki, a student at Tensei Academy. Through a strange incident, Hiiro obtains a mysterious smartphone. The smartphone has installed the popular digital card game “Shadowverse.” Through the game, Hiiro meets rivals, participates in tournaments, and forms bonds with others.
▍Staff and Production
“Psychic Squad” and “Sket Dance” director Keiichiro Kawaguchi (川口 敬一郎) is directing the anime at ZEXCS. Rintarō Isaki (磯崎輪太郎) and Deko Akao (赤尾でこ) are handling the series composition. Ponzu (ぽんず) and Soji Hisakata (久方綜司) are the original character designers, and Hiroki Harada (原田大基) is adapting those designs for animation.
