Square Enix today (22th June) officially opens the service of “KINGDOM HEARTS Union χ Dark Road” in the smartphone game “Kingdom Hearts Union χ”, which started service on 3rd September 2015.
Players will be able to select two titles “KINGDOM HEARTS Union χ[Cross]” and “KINGDOM HEARTS Union χ Dark Road” in the same app “KINGDOM HEARTS Union χ”.

The new “KINGDOM HEARTS Union χ Dark Road” follows the story of Xehanort and how he becomes the franchise’s most notorious villain. The young Xehanort was troubled by a repeated dream of him dying in the arms of his best friend. After encountering a mysterious man, he decided to leave his island and search the answers for his dream. He becomes a mentee of keyblader in Scala ad Caelum, where he meets his best friend Eraqus.
Players will be able to select your character among four new characters, Hermod, Urd, Bragi, and Vor. No matter which character you select, you will be able to start a journey with Xehanort and Eraqus.
The game features “Exhilarating” × “Reflex” × “Flick” speedy battles, where players have to select three cards out of five to engage attacks. The enemies will unleash attacks within a certain time. This means that if you select the cards fast enough, you will receive fewer damages. Selecting cards with the same color will unleash more powerful attacks.
Your deck will have 30 cards. When all the cards are unleashed, you will have to tap the screen to reload. Cards have different skills and can be obtained in the gacha. Collecting more cards and monsters in the album will enhance your stats. Complete the missions will unlock the next episodes of the main story.
