Clamp’s classic shōjo manga series “Tokyo Babylon” is confirmed to inspire a TV anime adaptation for 2021. A teaser visual and video are revealed for the announcement.
Titled “Tokyo Babylon 2021”, the new anime series is set in Tokyo in 2021. GoHands, the studio that produced“K” anime series, is animating the anime.
▍About the Series
“Tokyo Babylon” is a shōjo manga series created by Clamp, with story by Nanase Ohkawa and art by Mokona. It was first serialized in Shinshokan’s South and Monthly Wings magazines from 1990 to 1993. It was adapted into a two-part OVA series by the studio Madhouse between 1992 and 1994, as well as a live-action film in 1993.
The series follows Subaru Sumeragi, the head of the Sumeragi clan, and his sister Hokuto as they work to protect Tokyo from a myriad of supernatural perils.
