The “Kimetsu-Sai Online: Anime 2nd Anniversary Festival” event confirmed on 14th February that the TV anime adaptation of Koyoharu Gotouge’s “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” (鬼滅の刃) will return in 2021. A teaser visual and 1st PV was also revealed for the anime titled “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yūkaku-hen,” which follows the manga’s Entertainment District Arc.
The arc follows Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu accompanying the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, on a mission to Yoshiwara to help search for his missing wives who were investigating rumors of demons within the district.
Haruo Sotozaki is returning to direct the anime at ufotable, and Akira Matsushima is again designing the characters. The cast members from the first TV anime also reprise their roles.
