NetEase Games’ “Onmyoji Idol Project” has revealed a new promotional video during NetEase Connect 2021 on May 20. The PV gives a sneak peek at the fashionable shikigami including Momo, Sakura, Ootengu, Shuten Doji, Vampira, and Ibaraki Dōji.

The “Onmyoji Idol Project” IP was first revealed at last year’s NetEase 520 Conference. It includes a simulation game, which turns the signature “Onmyoji” characters into modern world’s idols. In order to build a peaceful world, where humans and yōkai co-exists, you develop your talent agency and form contracts with the yōkai idols. A PV previewing the angelic voice performed of Aoandon (CV:Mizuki Nana) was also streamed.
The promotional video previews the silhouette of several shikigami groups differentiated from their fashion and music styles. Can you guess who they are?
The official Weibo of “Onmyoji Idol Project” also revealed a wallpaper showcasing the desk of an idol agency. The proposal, concert ticket, magazine, and photos on the desk give hints of the project’s worldview.
