NetEase Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced on June 6 that the “Harry Potter: Magic Awakened” real-time card battle RPG will launch for mobile and PC in Japan and Asia in winter 2021. The game also planned for a global launch, but the schedule is not yet revealed.
Co-developed with Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, “Harry Potter: Magic Awakened” is a card battle RPG based on the popular “Harry Potter” franchise.
Set a few years after the Second Magical War, players can experience the original scene as a young wizard who has just received an acceptance letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. From there you will start out as a freshman and begin your wizarding journey by learning spells and gathering a group of friends to join you on your adventure. Players will be able to revisit the signature scene from the franchise, as well as joining various events, such as the Quidditch, Dueling Club, and The Yule Ball.
You can also learn various spells through cards and use them to battle against different players with different strategies and magical combinations such as what to use and when to use, and the difficulty level. The signature characters, magical animals, magical potions that appeared in the franchise such as Harry, Ron, Hermione will also appear as cards.
