Today (12th July), in celebration of the series’ 20th Anniversary, Square Enix confirms that they are making a mobile game for Fullmetal Alchemist.
Square Enix has yet to reveal any detail for the game, but the trailer showed iconic phrases from the original manga series, suggesting that the game will lean towards being influenced by the manga more than the series’ TV anime adaptations and anime movie adaptations.
Square Enix has revealed in the trailer that more information for the game will be released later this year in Winter 2021.

Fullmetal Alchemist (鋼の錬金術師) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa (荒川 弘). It was serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Shōnen Gangan shōnen manga anthology magazine between July 2001 and June 2010. The series revolves around the Elric brothers, Edward and Alphonse, and their journey in search of the “Philosopher’s Stone” in hopes to restore their bodies to before their failed attempt to bringing back their mother through alchemy.
