Liz Takayama’s Isekai Yakkyoku (異世界薬局) fantasy light novel series is confirmed to inspire a TV anime adaptation. A teaser visual is revealed for the announcement.

The story follows Kanji Yakutani, who devotes his life to find a cure after her younger sister died from an incurable disease. However, he dies from overwork at 31 and gets reincarnated as a 10-year-old boy in another world. Yakutani, now known as Felma, spends his time using his knowledge of modern medicine to bring healthcare to all.

About the Series

Isekai Yakkyoku is a light novel series written by Liz Takayama and illustrated by keepout. It has been serialized in Shōsetsuka ni Narō user-generated novel publishing website since July 2015. It was later acquired by Media Factory, which has published seven volumes since January 2016 under their MF Books imprint.

It has been printed physically and sold digitally for over 2.3 million copies in Japan. A manga version of the series by Sei Takano is being published by ComicWalker with seven volumes released.
