Today (2nd Oct), Nippon Ichi Software announced their brand new simulation RPG, Shikabane Gurai no Bouken Meshi (屍喰らいの冒険メシ), during the SEGA/Atlus Channel Day 2 live-stream.
The new game is a dungeon survival simulation RPG. In the new game, players will play as an adventurer. Players will dive into dungeons to scavenge for ingredients to cook meals. Players will be able to find ingredients in the field, as well as hunt and defeat monsters to use as ingredients. By combining different ingredients and cooking methods, players will be able to cook a variety of different gourmet meals that gives players and their party stat buffs. But players will have to beware as sometimes their ingredients may not be edible, eating these will give players negative status effects, or worse…
Harada Takehito, the person behind the Disgaea series will once again be designing the characters for the new game. Unlike the Disgaea series, players will be able to create their own characters. Players will be able to choose their character’s appearance, voice, and job.
In the PV revealed at TGS2021, it appears that the combat of the game will feature a turn-based strategy element.
Shikabane Gurai no Bouke Meshi is slated for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The game is scheduled to launch in Japan on 27th January 2021.
