At Zombieland Saga’s special concert event held on October 16 and 17, the franchise announced that an anime film has been greenlit. Avex Pictures later posted a Tweet confirming that the movie is getting an international release.

In coincidence with the announcement, the franchise also revealed a special live-action PV “The Revenge of Saga” featuring actors Hakuryu, the voice of White Ryu from the Zombieland Saga R anime, and Kunio Murai. The release date of the anime film will be revealed later.
Zombieland Saga was first aired in 2018, featuring Franchouchou, an idol group of zombie girls revived from various eras. This crazy idea is brought to life by a man named Kotaro Tatsumi, who seeks to revitalize Saga Prefecture by putting together an all-zombie idol group. The anime series is animated by MAPPA.
